Show & Tell Fridays - Autumn table top quilt

I am so excited today, because I finished up the Autumn table top quilt that I've been working on the past few weeks.  I used a great tutorial that I found at the Moda Bake Shop and changed it to Autumn fabric, instead of Christmas.   You can read about my adventures in learning how to do free-motion quilting on this quilt here.

And here it is on my table.......I adore it!

Now I need to find one to make with a Christmas theme!  This is a nice size, too, and would be great for a lap quilt.... more ideas....more to add to my ever-growing "to sew" list..... ;-)

I just recently found a wonderful quilting blog called, Amylouwho, and she is the hostess of "Sew and Tell Fridays".  It's a place for sewers to share what they have been working on and get feedback, share what they have completed, and for inspiration.  I'm so excited to be sharing my finished quilt there and look forward to visiting all of the wonderful blogs to see everyone's beautiful creations!

I'm also linking up to Lit and Laundry and her "Finished for Friday" link party.  It's another great site and there are lots of talented people sharing some great projects!

Take care and God Bless!

  1. That's a lovely autumn table topper. The pattern is quite effective and as you've said quite versatile for any season. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I love it! Split nine-patch is a great pattern, and then the sashing really sets it off! Good idea to change it from Christmas to autumn, too. I've just started following you and will enjoy seeing what you do in the future!

  3. Thank you fir visiting my blog and for leaving such a sweet comment about my pillowcase. I am new to Amy's blog too. Your table topper is gorgeous. I love having these smaller quilts on my table too. They always make a dramatic statement in the kitchen.
    Thanks again.

  5. I LOVE your quilt. It looks great on your table. You are FAR braver than I am. I wouldn't dare put something that pretty on my table--not with having 5 kids. They spill at just about every meal. I'm glad that you decided to join sew and tell. I can't wait to see what you make next.

  7. I just found Amy's blog too! (Last week.) It's so fun to sit and go through the links.

Your table topper is so pretty. I thought that it looked smaller than in the first pic, but then I realized your table is a good sized table! Your dining room walls are the same color as my living room walls. I love yellow walls!

I'd love to have you join me for The Airing of the Quilts the first weekend in November. It's a one-time event and promises to be fun. There's a party button on my sidebar, if you'd like to help me spread the word. Hope to see you there.

  13. I was cruising in the blog world some time ago when I saw this beautiful table quilt you have made. I followed the link to Moda Bake Shop and wanted to try to make these blocks for a table runner. I had just bought a charm pack of the same fabrics as yours. So thank you for the inspiration you gave me, on my blog you can see my table runner! It was so fun and easy to make these blocks.
